Resampling

  The mathematical calculation of values (amplitudes, greyvalues, colour values) in a digital signal or image for coordinate values lying between the points sampled in the original signal or image. Typically, this is obtained by some interpolation method, using neighbouring values;  also Geometrical Transformations.
